What does sustainability mean for us?

Sustainability

“Sustainability focuses on meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their need”.

With the world changing at an ever-increasing pace, we need to make sure there will be a world to enjoy for the generations after us. But what does this mean to us at Samarali?

Factories we work with

When we start our partnerships we always check whether our suppliers have all the required certifications. This way we can guarantee that our products are safe, high quality, and comply with EU regulations.

After a new product has been developed we test it ourselves through our extensive network of experienced yogis. This way we ensure that possible new additions to our catalogue fit our high standards in both reliability and design.

Products, certifications & shipping

We feel it’s important to go the extra mile by keeping both the production and shipping process as friendly to the environment as possible.

All of the factories we work with are held to high standards in both working conditions and product quality. Currently, we have certifications for all products we import from outside of the European Union. We already work with the factories in Ukraine, Portugal, China, and India and we will keep exploring opportunities to provide you with high-quality sustainable products.

Examples of this include our yoga mats made from natural rubber and renewable cork, and our meditation gear made with both organic or recycled materials. We even go as far as filling our cushions and bolsters in-house, to keep shipment weight to a minimum and with it, minimizing our production’s carbon footprint.

Our customers

But how about getting the products to you? We make a point of using as little plastic in the packaging as possible, with our products wrapped in paper, and shipped in recycled cardboard. Our courier then compensates for their CO2 emissions.

We do feel there are always further steps to make, so make sure to let us know if you have any suggestions to take things further! After all, the world belongs to all of us, but to our children most of all.
